Fleet Town Council

Action Day 2019

Fleet Town Centre was treated to a face lift last weekend (18th May) when volunteers went out into the town centre and started ‘spring cleaning’ Fleet.

Pavements were weeded, litter was collected, noticeboards and benches were refurbished, the railings in Gurkha Square and fence across The Views were also painted.

We had our highest turnout yet this year with over 60 volunteers taking part. Amongst the volunteers were numerous families, a party of 100th Elvetham Heath Scouts who undertook litter picking and a group from Fleet Baptist Church who undertook painting the fence and refurbishing the benches at The Views.

We’d like to take this opportunity to say a huge thankyou to everyone involved – it’s this fantastic contribution by so many people that makes a real difference and helps with keeping our town special!
